Nah beberapa bulan yang lalu saya punya inisiatif buat mulai posting yang isinya bahasa inggris, tapi setelah saya pikir-pikir saya bakalan buka kamus tiap mau nulis satu kata dan itu rada repot ya, maklum masih gagap sama bahasa bule yang emang keren itu. Pernah sih nyoba sekali gitu, rada lancang sih sekali nyoba langsung tak kirim ke jakarta globe salah satu media masa yang sering nerbitin artikel-artikel bahasa inggris gitu, coba tebak apa yang terjadi dengan tulisan saya yang saya kirim tersebut? Apa coba? Dan nggak disangka artikel saya nggak terbit #yaudahdeh. Nah bagi temen-temen pembaca yang jago bahasa inggris tolong dong share bantuin ngedit artikel saya ya, coba cek di bawah ini:
Library War The Plagiarism in Academic Areas
Plagiarism is a criminal act, it is prooven in Undang-Undang No.19 Tahun 2002 Tentang Hak Cipta.Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as the “wrongful appropriation”,”close imitation” or “purloining and publication “ of another author’s language, thoughts, ideas expressions and the representation of thes as one’s own original work. In Indonesia plagiarism mostly occur in the education world, from a little violation up to fatal violation. Plagiarism is caused when people arenot aware about the rules and regulations of copyright.
As an intellectual, students have to improve the nation’s fate. And as we know, they have the duty of study. Use the cogitation and develop it, to make a great change. For that, students have to use valid and legal source of information. Now in the information era, society with a literacy will getting of best of the world.
In fact, sometimes students get unconscious that they adopt an idea from sources without permission or place the source. They care about chase the deadline. Though they know, that sanction of plagiarize so hard. They maybe get drop out from the university, or maybe even they have to go into the jail, so tragic.
Advancement of technology bring a big part of plagiarism. Computer, internet and other technology make everything possible. One of them is plagiarism, by computer plagiarize is easier. Just right clicking, copy and paste. So easy, isn’t it?.
Students that usually do that, by the time they will spoiled by the technology and they’ll not care about how to analysis the problem by read the book. From finding study materials, sample questions, tasks and other things can be done using the Internet, simply by writing and look up search engines all can be found.
That habit lead the student dissolve in favorable conditions in terms of doing plagiarism, that even though it is against the law. If it is left alone they will become something that is difficult to remove and the impact occurs again grave violations of intellectual property rights. Yah, bigpart Indonesian youth thinking are like that.
Then compare plagiarist student by students who actively seek information in the library. They can’t develop something by their brain, because they have a plagiarize habit. In other whereas, students that look for information by read the book also do that easily.
Libraries will feel its existence when society has reached the stage of information society, when people are fully utilizing her life depended on information and its use. Information society is people who utilize science based sources as valid and legal information. For that Information and the intellect would be a very valuable one, and will be protected as well as other valuable.
By utilizing the existing resources in the library, is actually further away the student from plagiarism. How doesn’t? By the Internet we can freely copy the text, with a little editing we can repackage the information, write it down and we acknowledge as our intellectual. Yah, it is so ironic.
Library make students are required to read the books or other information sources and then narrate them back based on his understanding. Thus, power analysis and critical power students can be trained and sharpened to target and provide solutions to problems faced.
Various socialization will not be able to significantly reduce the level of piracy if not improve morale and enforcement of copyright laws. Moral people to shame copying or use of pirated products, and appreciate the work of others needs to growing up. If students as young intellectuals have had a culture of shame, then piracy or plagiarism will not be developed.
By look for information into the library we’ll growing a analysis habit. We’ll not copy as same as the original, but we’ll analysis that and then write down by what we knowledge. That bring us far from the plagiarism.
